If you are lucky enough to venture to Vietnam you may come across one of their famous round boats. Although they appear old fashioned and dated, they are still regularly used by the local Vietnamese folk for fishing.

The boats are cleverly crafted from wood and bamboo, weaved together to create a rounded boat. The boat is powered by a rowing oar, that uses a specific manoeuvre to get the most power per row. The boat has a wooden seat going across the centre for a little bit of comfort while sailing. If you come across a fisherman, they are happy to take you out in their boat for a small fee.

While out in the round boat you will certainly feel the waves of the waters, and also feel how much effort goes into rowing the round boat. You may feel pretty worn out by the end of your trip.
